Missouri Is Getting Back on the Road: The Covid-19 Pandemic has been one of the most dire economic disasters to hit us in generations. But while we are still dealing with the virus, Missouri is showing that we are resilient, strong, and capable of dealing with any challenge we face.
Missouri Is Driving to a Full Recovery in 2021
MAPA, the Missouri Asphalt Paving Association, published its November newsletter a few days ago and shared some very positive data that shows the state is recovering even better than expected or hoped for as we move into our ninth month of the Covid-19 pandemic:

A NOTE FROM MAPA's EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR & STAFF Executive Director Update Nine months into the pandemic and things continue to stabilize. Traffic trends in Missouri continue to show passenger vehicle traffic to be down 8 to 10 percent while commercial traffic volumes have returned to normal. While fuel tax revenue continues to reflect the reduction in passenger vehicle traffic, vehicle sales tax and license/registration fees continue to come in well above projections. For fiscal year 2021, MoDOT is 8.4% or approximately $25 million ahead of the projected budget. With stability in the budget, MoDOT has now fully programed the lettings through February 2021.
While 2020 has seen its share of struggles in the construction industry, we at BuildPro are proud of what we’ve accomplished. Despite a significant slow-down during the first two months of Covid-19 pandemic, our team is still on pace to more than double revenue year-over-year from 2019. And 2021 looks to be shaping up already to more than double again.
